Helping to Create a Digital-first Canada with the CIO Strategy Council

February 24, 2021

TerraHub is excited to announced that they have joined the CIO Strategy Council. The technical committees formed thus far have attracted Canada’s most forward-thinking chief information officers and executive leaders to collectively take action on common digital priorities. The CIO Strategy Council dedicates itself to the development of an integrated ecosystem, taking action to shape Canada’s global leadership and competitiveness in the digital economy.

“As a result of the pandemic, the demand for cloud-based technologies which guarantee data security, and interoperate across the globe has come to the forefront,” says TerraHub’s Chief Technology Officer, Elena Dumitrascu. “This rush to enable a global, fully-digital economy can only happen through trusted digital identities of people and businesses, along with systematic alignment of standards so that all companies can support customers, supply chains and each other.”

The CIO Strategy Council provides strategic leadership, technology standards, and guidance for both private, public, and non-profit sectors. TerraHub is excited to share its industry knowledge and research with the Council while working on two distinct projects: Data Governance and Digital Trust and Identity.  “We recognize that organizations do not operate in geographical silos. We understand that in order to assist all Canadians to safely participate in a national digital economy we have to help create ways in which Canadians feel safe and protected to do so,” said Dumitrascu.
